ISTDP Stockholm started in 2024 when I (Glenn Kristoffersson) and one of my mentors (John Rathauser) decided to arrange a conference in Stockholm. The theme of the conference was on the treatment of syntonic defenses with Davanloo´s ISTDP.
The purpose of the conference was to make John Rathauser´s knowledge available for a larger audience, both locally in Stockholm and internationally through Zoom. The participants could see some of the clinical cases which are reviewed and analyzed in the forthcoming book anticipated to go to publication in 2025 (Rathauser, J., Reher-Langberg, M., & Entis, J. Fundamentals of Davanloo’s intensive short term dynamic psychotherapy, Volume 1).
The main purpose for having the conference in Stockholm was to create a community for local ISTDP therapists, where we can meet and learn together.
The next step is to arrange another conference with John Rathauser in October 24-25.
